Sayo Ayodele


Through Sayo’s experiences as a globe trotter, she cultivated a passion for international affairs, food, languages, and travel. One of her favorite London activities is scouring the stands of London’s many food markets and spending hours sampling all the food!

Sayo is currently a Programme Coordinator at a social enterprise in London. She studied at the London School of Economics as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar and gained her MSc in International Relations. Before this she attended Dickinson College in the USA where she read International Studies, with a focus on Africa. Sayo has lived in Japan, Nigeria, Mozambique, Romania, the US and the UK.

Petra Marton

Digital Marketing and Creative Projects

Petra’s passion for food and travel goes back as far as she can remember. After graduating from university, where she studied International Relations, she worked in the recruitment industry.  Following her dream, she trained as a chef while living in Singapore and ever since then she has been working in foodie roles, doing mostly digital marketing and cooking class coordination. She is currently looking to get into food styling. She is interested in culinary history and regional dishes.

Jennifer Fong


With a belief that food is a tool for social change, Jennifer founded Cooking With Mama when she combined her love for cooking with her interests in women’s empowerment. Jennifer currently works in the agriculture development sector in Ethiopia and supports Cooking With Mama’s growth in London and Berlin. With a life goal to work or volunteer in every continent, Jennifer was raised in Toronto and has since lived in New York, London, Beijing and now Addis Ababa. She has worked with organisations such as UNICEF, UNDP, World Economic Forum, UK Cabinet Office and PwC.

Jennifer holds a joint Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and Master of Public Administration in International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Whenever she’s home in Toronto, Jennifer’s top priority is to bake big batches of chocolate chip cookies in her family kitchen with her two nephews – Ethan and Jayden. Her favourite dish is her mother’s stuffed eggplant.

Shinta Harsana

Founder, Cooking With Mama Berlin

Shinta is currently launching the first international Cooking with Mama Chapter in Berlin, Germany. Having been passionate about the concept of social innovation for many years, she sees her involvement as a perfect way to put her theoretical knowledge into practice. She recently started a career in the executive search industry focusing on innovative, high-growth start-ups, after having done internships in the private, public and the non-profit sectors in Germany and the Phillippines. Shinta holds a BA in Integrated Social Sciences from Jacobs University Bremen and a Master of Science in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Born and raised in a small town in Germany, food has always been a way for her to connect with her Indonesian heritage and also learn about other cultures. She believes that there is definitely room to improve her own cooking skills.
